Silvia Palmaccio
Silvia Palmaccio is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Invernizzi Center for Social Policy Impact Research and Evaluation (INSPIRE) and the Dondena Centre for Research on Social Dynamics and Public Policy at Bocconi University, where she works on the ERC-funded project FRAILIFE. She obtained a Ph.D. in Economics from KU Leuven, Belgium, in September 2023. She is also an affiliated researcher with KU Leuven and the University of Turin.
Her research lies at the intersection of demography, social statistics, and applied microeconomics. She is particularly interested in understanding how family environments shape children’s and adult family members’ outcomes, with a focus on family instability, same-sex parenting, and child disability spillover effects.
