Alessio Romarri

Alessio Romarri is an Assistant Professor (Serra Húnter Fellow) at the Department of Applied Economics, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. He is also an affiliated researcher at the Rockwool Foundation (Berlin) and at the Barcelona Institute of Economics (IEB). Previously, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the BAFFI Research Center (Bocconi University) and at the Department of Economics, Management and Quantitative Methods (DEMM) at the University of Milan. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Barcelona (UB).

Alessio is an applied microeconomist with broad research interests in political economy. His research investigates the political and social consequences of migration, with a particular focus on how migration dynamics shape the electoral success of far-right parties.
